- It gave me a headache
- I have to pay return postage!
- Thicker than advertised
- No neck support
- Too expensive
- Too noisy
The number one complaint is something like, I hate this pillow, it gave me a headache, it made my neck sore.
Generally people who buy the My Pillow are having issues sleeping and aren’t happy with their current pillow. If they were happy with their current pillow, they would have just bought the same pillow brand again. Most My Pillow customers are people with neck issues, or have trouble sleeping, no pillow in the world will satisfy all of those customers. It is horrible situation for those people who just want to buy the right pillow to get a good nights sleep and they keep trying pillow after pillow and none of them work. I HATE wasting money. HATE IT, so I completely understand where people are coming from when you buy a product that doesn’t work for you.
When you buy a pillow, you’re taking a risk. What works for someone won’t work for someone else, that’s just the nature of pillows. If you aren’t happy taking a risk on buying a pillow that you haven’t tried before then you’re simply better off going to the store to buy a pillow you can test out thoroughly.
I didn’t like the pillow and wanted to return it but they wanted me to pay for postage!
I completely get this one and it sucks to have to pay money to return an item but there’s not much that can really be done about it. I don’t know of another pillow company that wouldn’t make you pay for return postage.
Recently I purchased a My Pillow from the website and it said that it would be around 4 inches tall. I never expected for it to be 6 inches tall. I tried it for a few nights and it began to make my neck hurt and I just wasn’t getting a good night’s sleep at all. I called to ask if it would be possible to return the pillow. They let me know that I would be able to exchange the pillow, but there was no guarantee that it would be a certain height.
If the pillow would have been returned as you had wanted, they would have removed the filling up to 15%. The exact height really depends on the materials that are used. There is also a restocking fee of returning the pillow.
I recently purchased some of these cheap pillows from Wal-Mart. They are just a bunch of choppy pieces that make it hard to sleep. I believed the advertising pitch and bought two of them and my dogs didn’t even like sleeping on them. I just threw them in the garbage.
Purchasing the product from department stores are not truly their products, especially if they come in a box. The pillows come in plastic just like normal pillows. It would seem that you fell for a scam knockoff of the product, especially if you paid only $19.99, as their pillows cost $49.99 and up.
I have no idea what I was doing when I purchased the My Pillow, which happened to be a bunch of scraps in a case. It wasn’t worth it and it is the biggest joke and rip off. When you lay on this pillow it is like laying just on the mattress itself. There isn’t any type of support for your neck or your body to be supported. It is funny that I fell for such as crappy product. I keep waking up with a headache and stiff neck. It definitely wasn’t worth the money.
First, before you sleep on the pillow, it is supposed to be placed on low heat in the dryer for 15 minutes to fluff it up and to get rid of the rubbery smell. Secondly, this would have given you support for your neck and aligned your body. If the instructions were followed correctly, then you would have had a greater chance at a good night’s sleep. You’ve got to follow instructions.
These are the most common complaints and the conclusion is that the pillow will not work for everyone. If it doesn’t work for you, then you’ll have to pay for return postage which won’t be cheap because it’s a big bulky item or you’ll have to give it to a family member or friend. It’s just not possible for there to be one pillow that will be the right pillow for everyone. If you buy the pillow, you might love it, you might hate it. That’s the risk you take to get a good night’s sleep.
